Michael V. Calabro is a Supreme Court Certified Criminal Trial Attorney and the sole practitioner of his own law firm, The Law Offices of Michael V. Calabro, located in Newark, NJ.

The law has been an ever-present factor in Calabro’s life since he entered the workforce as an Essex County patrolman in 1980. He worked his way up the ranks to become an Essex County Detective, Assistant Prosecutor, Trial Team Supervisor Adult Criminal Court and finally the Director of Narcotics Enforcement Operation- Special Investigation Unit. Calabro also served as the East Hanover Prosecutor in 2006.

Michael Calabro’s certifications include Police Instructor – Police Training Commission and Criminal Justice Act Panel Attorney. He is affiliated with the New Jersey State Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association, and Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Backing his distinguished career, Calabro is a graduate from Miami-Dade College with an Associate Degree in Criminology, a Rutgers alumnus with a Bachelor Degree in Urban Studies, and a Seton Hall University School of Law graduate.

Calabro is an East Hanover resident, a father of two sons, Michael and Salvatore, and husband to his wife AnnaMarie. In his spare time, he is a East Hanover Little League Coach and plays on the East Hanover Men’s Softball team. He is also a proud member of the Columbian Foundation.
